DEZ SUIDI SELECTED TO ATTEND PRESTIGIOUS SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SUMMER BUSINESS PROGRAM

Dez Suidi, a junior member of Project Greer Street at East High School in Denver, has been

selected from an international pool of candidates for the prestigious Global Sports and

Entertainment Business Academy ("GSEBA") summer program at Loyola Marymount

University in Los Angeles. The Academy provides the students with insight into the

fascinating, fast paced, and often high-profile sports and entertainment industries.

The program features instruction from world-class faculty and renowned Los Angeles area

professionals from across the sports and entertainment industries, including law,

technology, management, and marketing. GSEBA includes workshops on college

admission, career and professional development, leadership, diversity, multi-culturalism,

and negotiation. Past speakers at GSEBA have included Roger Goodell (NFL

Commissioner), Dan Reed (Head of Sports, Facebook), Karen Brodkin (EVP, Endeavor),

Brett O'Brien (GM, Gatorade), Rob King (ESPN), Jeff Gewirtz (Chief Legal Officer, Brooklyn

Sports & Entertainment), Tony Gonzalez (Pro Football Hall of Fame Tight End), among

many others. Dez is part of a small selective cohort of intellectually curious and talented

rising high school juniors and seniors.

Project Greer Street is a ground-breaking and award-winning educational enrichment

program for African American males launched by Ronald Sally, a graduate of Duke

University and the UCLA School of Law. “During such a challenging year with the

pandemic, this is very impressive and we are very proud of Dez,” said Sally.
